Steps to a Custom Gown

Step 1: Contact:
Contact me to make an appointment (for wedding projects I recommend starting at least 3 months before the wedding) The total price will include the time spent working on your gown, plus a per appointment consultation fee of $15 per half hour (to the nearest half hour). Wedding gowns start from $500.

Step 2: The first appointment.

Discuss your project: design, color, materials, and details. Draw sketches, look at magazines, etc.
Take measurements.
Make an estimate of the final price.
If we decide to proceed with your project, there will be a $100 Deposit payable at the first meeting.

Step 3: Mock fitting.
The mock, made of muslin, helps to adjust the pattern so that your dress will fit perfectly. This is a good time to make changes to your dress.
If the mock needs more adjustments another appointment will be needed.

Step 4: Dress fitting.
Before the dress is finished two to five fitting appointments may be necessary. I will work with you until you are satisfied with your new gown. Please bring shoes and underwear that you will wear with your gown.

Step 5: Last appointment.
The balance due on your gown is paid. With your permission I would like to make several photos to remember your new gown!
